A Short State-by-State Glimpse at Some of Rhode Islands Best Courses

Designed by Roger Rulewich and Dave Fleury, Meadow Brook Golf Club is Rhode Island’s longest course, stretching out to a massive 7,400 yards. Located just 30 minutes from Providence in Richmond, the course features large greens, rolling fairways and a number of water hazards.

No two holes are alike. The par-5 15th plays more than 600 yards, while the signature 10th hole is a stunning 202-yard par-3 over water from an elevated tee surrounded by natural rock foundations and provides one of the most scenic views on the course.

Donald Ross designed and constructed a number of world-class golf courses in Rhode Island, including Wannamoisett, Warwick, Metacomet and Rhode Island Country Club But Triggs Memorial in Providence is his only true public course in the state. Opened in 1932, it features long difficult par 4’s and spectacular par 3’s. Using the existing topography, Ross followed the natural contours of the land to create a masterpiece.
